,

I cannot speak to the anti-inflammatory meds changing my periods as I do not

take any but prednisone has and does change my cycles. You are a bit young for

menopause but it is possible. You really should get this checked out. If you

don't like your current gyn (so much that you are putting off a needed appt)

then do yourself a favor and get a different one. Patty

Hi,

I have taken the NSAIDs and Prednisone and neither interfere with my cycle.

However - STRESS can hugely affect your cycle. If you are not on any form of

hormonal medication (birth control pills, iud, etc) and you are sure you are not

pregnant, then stress is probably the source. Also, cycles can change as one

ages or if they are around other unregulated women (bodies naturally " sync " up).

If you haven't been to the GYN in the last 12 months, it may be a good catalyst

to get a check up - otherwise mention it at your next MD (be that rheum or PCP)

and get their opinion. I wouldn't make a special appointment (unless you just

need the check up).
