Guest guest
I am still taking my Enbrel but the last 2 injections have not helped. I started back on a low dose of prednisone with a little relief. The pain is sometimes terrible as you all know how the pain can be. I am frustrated and don't really know what to do next. My doctor did not think tendon and ligament pain was related to the PA. I don't think he reads much. He is at least 70 and has been working in his field for many years. I could not believe he didn't realize the symptoms. I am considering antibiotics if I can find someone to give them to me. Every time I take antibiotics, I get a little relief. I am approaching retirement age but it is getting more & more difficult for me to get in and out of my car dozens of times a day. My work is not easy and I seldom miss a day but I don't know how much longer I can stand this. I am considering short term disability as I have pain it for years. I would appreciate any comment or a " whadda you think? "
Guest guest
Hi Sherry, I know I do a lot of research on my own so that I can try and stay informed and also when I go to my Rheumy I can bring up questions. Print out any info. you can find on the subject and bring it with you to your next appointment, if your doc. still won't listen you might want to find one that does. If you are in that much pain going on short-term disability is a very good idea, I did it myself. I did just leave my job at the end but my situation is a bit different. If you go on disability it will give your body some rest time and hopefully a chance for meds to work better. I don't think going on disability will count against your retiring because you are still employed. Lori in AZ
