My blood work is always normal even in the worst of flares. At a NIH conference

in '06 I heard a researcher say the only reliable blood marker for inflammation

with our disease is something called MPP3 - NOT a common test. Ask for a bone

scan - it showed my inflammation. My suggestion is quit concentrating on the

pain with your doc and start worrying about the damage the pain indicates is

happening. Have you lost any strength or range of movement? When the disease

is done with a joint the pain will usually let up some but the disability from

the damage stays forever.
