Guest guest
From the very first shot that I took in the doctor's office, I had major problems with the Enbrel. I ran fever for 2-3 days, I would have hot flashes for a couple of minutes and then it would turn to terrible chills for a few minutes and then right back again. I had terrible headaches, the injection spot would turn bright red, raise up and then bruise in a huge bulls eye around the injection spot. I would be bruised for almost a week after each shot. It would take 2-3 days to get well from each injection of Enbrel. I would sit and tremble all the time and was very week, could hardly sit up or walk across the room at times. I kept telling my doctor that I still wasn't feeling well from the shots. They would tell me to load up on allergy meds. & Tylenol, and that it would get better with time. I went to a new doctor who took x-rays, blood work, and listened to what I was saying. She diagnosed me with fibromyalgia on top of the PsA. She said no more with the allergies to the Enbrel and gave me two injection vials of Humira to try this month. The Humira hurts a lot worse for a while when I took it, but then I was up and going again by that evening and doing pretty good. So far the Humira is working, it has only been a couple of days, but I am not sick - so that is good. My feet feel like they are on fire once in a while and I am really thirty with a very dry mouth all of the time. But I would rather have these problems than what it was like on the Enbrel.
