What other abx is she on... if you dont mind me asking?

My daughter didnt leave  a dark bedroom for over five weeks at one time........

...hang in there - make sure your LLMD knows about this........ my prayers are

with you -

to - you do three day at the end of every month or week???

My 13 yo daughter started taking Tindamax for three days at the end of each

month back in January 2010.  After the initial 3 day cycle she was wiped out

for at least a week with exhaustion and body pain.  Each cycle following has

been much better, with the recent cycle having minimal negative reaction.

Hope your son begins to improve.

My son got lyme in July, had the bulls eye took abx from Dr.

(azithromyacin) from Sept to Feb.... In Feb he was symptom free and we stopped

abx and then by March he was regressing quickly...back to Dr. .

He is now on azithromyacin again along w/ tindamax on the w/ends only. This was

his first w/end and the side effects are so bad he couldnt leave his bed all

w/end, seeing floaters, extreme fatigue, headaches, body aches, spaghetti legs,

and jitters.

He hasn't had the meds since Sunday am and now it is Monday pm and he is still

sick from it...

Does anyone have any experience with this medication / and it's side effects?

I am " on call " at my job, so unfortunatley it's not possible.

 I have been trying to get him into a school for kids with " special needs " for

4 years, and they won't even consider it.

I'm wondering how long this " effect " from the  med is going to last. He hs

really gone downhill since starting the flagyl.

My 8 yr old sees Dr. as well and is on Zith and Rifampin. We also added

Metron, and now I have the school sending home notes saying he has taken a

dramatic turn for the worse. He has declined tremendously academically and

behaviorally, and cannot do the work suddenly.

I don't know what to do at this point either.

My 11 year old daughter started taking Tindamax 2 days/week about 2 

months ago. She's additionally  on Rifampin and Zithromax. She has 

had neither adverse effects nor improvement. She's been on various 

abx for 15 months now. She also sees Dr. . We're also following 

an herbal protocol (Buhner).

I would get in touch with the office. They may have some suggestions 

either in dosage or just explaining what is happening. I know it is 

difficult to get through (always have to leave a message with the 

service), but they will get back to you.

I 'll give it another week or two, and if he is still this way, I'll call Dr.

. I can't wait to hear what the school says in the morning.

That happened w/ my son also.... We told Dr. J and he switched up the meds a

little...we' ll see how it goes.My son has never had poor grades or difficulty

paying attention until this relapse so I knew for sure it was due to lyme and

meds.Dr. J. understood and made some changes last week so I will see if school

improves or not.

Minocycline, Zithromax ( M, W, F), Plaquenil daily.  She is also following the

buhner protocol along with other supplements. We recently added D-Ribose, has

been helping with the fatique. She is much improved.  We are just beginning to

scale back slowly on the antibiotics.
