How do you think your husband got Lyme? I believe mine has it but won't get

tested. He doesn't believe he could get it from me. I gave it to our two boys

though.

On topic of another post, if I could do it over again with the infectious

disease doctor I think I would have lied and said my son had a rash while

vacationing in VA. It would have saved us time.

On topic of IEP's. My son's IEP review went swimmingly on Tuesday- the first

time ever. Last year I demanded an IEP last year after the 504 was never honored

and he got sicker. They finally found a discrepancy between his IQ and

processing speed. When he went homebound last April the IEP saved him. When he

went to an online school for the first semester of this year, his IEP allowed

major accomodations and modifications. He was so sick. He didn't take every

quiz. He only took one part of the unit tests. He wrote 3 paragraph essays

instead of 5. He could retake tests when feeling better. He passed his 4 core

classes which kept him on track for his sophomore year. He is now back to public

school 9 days and has made it all 9 days. He fevers throughout the day and has

accomodations like he can carry water, go to the bathroom whenever needed, he

has 2 study halls and one is an academic assists. He is not penalized for late

work due to health issues and he gets a one hour tutor for every day he misses

which can be cumulative. What I liked best about this newest meeting was they

let me talk and I brought them up to date on medical issues since April. I could

tell in their eyes that they had no idea and were in shock. The nurse attended

on her own, willingly wanting to know how to help. The principal sat in on the

meeting for the first time. He knew Nate as a young basketball player and

couldn't believe all that he has been through. I left pleased for the first

time. I sure hope everyone follows through because Nate deserves it.

My sons psyche issues are clearing with IV antibiotics and treatment for

bartonella. I feel like I am getting him back. He takes effexor which has

stabalized his mood.

Who would have thought we all would be going through this!
