Hello Beth

My daughter and I both  developed clots near our picc lines.  Blood volume

seems to be low in tbd patients but highly coaguable.  80 % or so have

coagulation issues with lyme and many of those have genetic defects that are

associated with high coaguability.  I have 2 copies of Mthfr C677 T which they

think is a risk factor for blood clots, heart issues etc.  I would get all

tests for hypercoaguability (genetic issues) Factor V leiden, Mthfr and

others.  A hematologist will know all the tests or your LLMD should as well.

Some people use Lovenox shots, heparin shots, warfarin or coumadin or aspirin or

Curcumin.    Research and you will see this mentioned.  Also Dr.Crist in MO

mentions this on his website.    Regards, Dolores

I know both of my daughters had a lot of pain in their PICC arms for at least a

week after insertion. No bloot clot though.

Many lyme patients have hypercoaguability...check for genetic defects causing

hypercoaguable states.  I have 2 copies of Mthfr C677 T
