Guest guest
Hi Eileen, I often wonder if my son will have it. He has a strep throat infection that never seems to improve - often a precursor. Odds increase with family members having it. However, the self-blame game is a no-win game. Don't go there - ever: it will do neither of you any good. I believe we must deal with the world as it is, not as how we would have chosen it to be. The positive: Your son will have a loving parent who understands the disease; and, you will be able to point him to things like " Spoon Theory " and this group when he needs them. Guest guest
Brent, Thank you. It is weird that you mentioned the strep throat. He has had it repeatedly for years. I have jokingly referred to him as a carrier. -Eileen -
Guest guest
This is so interesting. An acupuncturist recently asked me if I had strep as a child. I did, repeatedly, as a child. I am in my 30's and have PsA. I had never heard of such a correlation. I guess I'm not the only one. --A <<Thank you. Guest guest
I had a hospital acquired staph infection which I believe eventually caused my PsA. I am successfully treating it with Minocycline antibiotic and LDN. vinnylid
Guest guest
My son has an appointment with the rheumy next month. I will be inquiring about any correlations between strep and PA. Thanks Eileen
Guest guest
Yes, Eileen, tell us what the rheumatologist tells you about a correlation, please.
