Attention to the CBOs and Funding Bodies: Transgenders/Hijras community

Dear All

 

Greetings from ATHB (Association of Transgender/Hijra in Bengal)!

 

Lots of things were happened and still happening but nothing has been done with

the Transgender/Hijra in West Bengal but many Agencies and Networks are saying

publicly that they are working with the Transgenders/Hijras and helped many

Individual Organization in West Bengal.

Global Fund is coming and we the community based network do not have any idea of

this Global Fund. Nobody is sharing anything with us.

Do not you all think it should be share with us? Only those Organizations and

Network is becoming strengthened and getting all the facilities either who have

personal relation with them or own created organizations.

When another Organizations raise their voice against the discrimination they

either keep then aside or do conspiracy and ask them to leave the Network.

Recently this has been happened  with the two Organizations in the National

level  God knows what will happened in future if anybody will raise the voice

against the discrimination?

 

There are many Agencies and NGOs now started saying that they are also working

with Transgender/Hijra in West Bengal but still there is no definition has come

for the Transgneders/Hijras.

Now these Agencies and NGOs are keeping Transgender staff in their office and

saying they are working with the Transgenders and taking all the fund which

should come for the Transgenders Organizations. If it will happen then we as a

community who are facing lots of problem in the society and in family also what

about them then?

 

MSM are holding all the powers and not letting come out

Transgenders/Hijras.

These MSM  Leaders are educated so, they misuse their power and always

discriminate Transgenders/Hijras.

If this will happened with the Transgenders/Hijras then where we will go? Why

these  Still there is no definition has come and lots of Training and Workshops

are going with the  Trasngenders/Hijras everywhere. How this is possible?

If all these are possible then why not ATHB is getting any support from

anywhere?

ATHB is the first network of Transgenders/Hijras in West Bengal is still done

many things on harassment but no support from anywhere?

These MSM Leaders are playing dirty politics with the ATHB and do not want that

ATHB should be flourished because if it will happened then MSM leaders will lose

their power so, all these MSM Leaders are doing this sitting in the higher level

or funding agencies and doing all this.

Unfortunately these funding agencies always listen to these MSM Leaders.

 

In National level when we ask who and why meeting or training or any kind of

decision has taken and nobody informed us then these some of the member of those

networks start playing dirty politics and give us threat and few organizations

who are completely own creation of these MSM Leaders who are sitting in the

higher chair start writing that we the CBOs should be expel from all the network

and the community because these MSM leaders understood that we

Transgenders/Hijras are now educated and coming and taking the leadership and

start taking about our rights and right to information that what are going on in

the other national level network who are showing and telling everyone that they

are working with the Transgenders/Hijras community but real picture is

completely different.

 

Funding bodies are giving much-much support to the national level meet and state

level network and Agencies because they have good relation with them may be

something  sharing among them but not at all supporting state level network of

Transgenders/Hijras at all.

When we raise our voice then they say that they will help us to fund which is

very less and still they are giving when we ask that when we will get the fund

because our program and activity date  is near then they say it will take time,

DISGUSTING.

Our point is why these funding bodies keep such kind MSM leaders in their

Agencies and why they only listen to them? Why not they are coming and asking to

us? Why they do not want to see the real picture? Why they are wasting money to

support these kind of networks only?

If they will not support us then where Transgenders/Hijras communities and CBOs

will go?

These NGOs and Agencies organise training and keep their own staff as a Resource

person who have no idea and taking all the mony with themselves then we as a

community will go?

 

NGOs are taking all the projects and facilities to Transgenders/Hijras. If it

will happen continuously then what about the Transgenders/Hijras CBOs?

Transgenders/Hijras CBOs should be strengthening separately not through MSM

Leaders and any others NGOs or Agencies.

Here funding bodies should understand the situation and problems and they should

take action against immediately on it. 

 

We community based Organizations and Network how long will fight for the rights?

How long only these MSM Leaders will hold the power and discriminate us?

How long these Agencies will get all the facilities and support from funding

bodies to show one Transgenders/Hijras that they are working with the community?

We have no rights to know about the Global Fund? 

 

Request to all the CBO, Funding Bodies, Transgenders and Hijras Leaders and

Individuals please come forward and raise your voice and help

Transgenders/Hijras community in West Bengal specially and in the other states

also.
