Guest guest
Hi, I haven't heard of cherry supplements being useful for PA, but if they are, dynamite! On the other hand, cherry juice is sometimes remarkably useful for the inflammation that comes with gout. I suggested it to a colleague once, he tried it, and swears by it. I guess I would Google my way toward " psychiatric arthritis and cherry " or something similar. Hope you have discovered something for us all............. Guest guest
I went to a program recently featuring a nutritionist who's written a book called " 101 Foods that can Save Your Life. " ( Grotto, RD, LDN.) He says cherries have several properties that make them " healthy foods " , including the ability to reduce exercise induced muscle pain and pain from inflammation (gout and arthritis, more specifically). He recommends black or Bing cherries for the latter because they contain a substance called cyanidin which has both anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Guest guest
Hi Tweety, you could try it. It may not help, but it isn't likely to hurt either. I am all for trying different methods, as I believe that PA isn't the same in every one of us. Some it may be hereditary, others it may be systemic, for some it may be a result of food allergies. There are many reasons it " could " be that we developed it. THUS, there are likely to be as many " cures " or " relievers " of this disease. If something works for you, great! I tend to stay on the track of modern, tried and true medicine. But if that wasn't working for me, I'd be looking for alternatives. Stay well,
