Guest guest
Oh... I am so sorry. I hope your LLMD's get back to you asapYes it IS soooo awful especially for children :(It just doesn't seem fair, I get it.I have had it for several years and I too get pain in the soles of my feet and it is so annoying and sometimes it happens when I haven't even been standing up...like first thing in the morning.I don't know why it happens so I can't help you w/ that. However sometimes I will do a detox bath in just warm water and epson salts and this helps me.... or you could even just let him soak his feet in epson salt and warm water...Supposedly we have the most amount of pores on our body in our feet and it is really good for detoxifying...Good Luck with your baby...PeaceLaina From: Beth Freishtat <beth@...> Subject: [ ] Three old with bad sole of foot pain question Date: Wednesday, May 5, 2010, 9:28 AM  My three year old has Lyme and co-infections and has been on Mepron and Azith. fr 1.5 years now (and Amoxicillin for a around 8-10 months). Yesterday and today he woke with pain on the sole of one of his feet. Today's pain was very bad -- and though it is easing as I type, he was in a lot of pain for a good 30 minutes. I am concerned that we have a completely new symptom 2 years after getting sick (he got infected summer of 08 and started meds Oct. 08). Does this mean the Babesia is getting worse and that maybe he should up his dose of Mepron (1/4 tsp)? Or is simply part of the healing process that symptoms come and go and it doesn't mean we need to do anything different. I have a call into our two lyme docs (Redwood city one and New Haven one), but any advice or reassurance would be appreciated. Aside from this new pain, he is completely asymptomatic while on meds (though the Lyme caused a huge speech problem, which we are addressing with 5x/wk speech therapy and fish oils). Thanks, Beth p.s. This is such an awful, awful disease and it just breaks my heart that two years into this illness I am seeing new symptoms. I am worried... Guest guest
Hello, I'm sorry you and your son are going through this. It is such a terrible disease. In reading your message, I'm wondering if your son has tested or been treated for Bartonella? I believe that foot pain is generally associated with that. I don't think that the two antibiotics that he's taking would treat Bartonella and sometimes, as the Lyme is being treated, the other infections have the opportunity to take over. But, definitely check with your doctors. I think we see the same Redwood City dr as you and I heard he is out of town this week. Best wishes to you and your son.
