Thanks for the responses everyone. Dr. J said to stop the bactrim (which I

already had done), and get tested for allergy to it. Problem is, I can't find an

allergist who tests for anything other than allergy to penicillan.

I am disappointed- adding another abx gave me some hope that maybe we would

start seeing some improvement. The bactrim was added for bartonella. I was

told today to just stay on the mepron and zithromax. We have been doing that

for 4 months now and seen no improvement. We don't see Dr. J for another 4

months. It just feels like we are sitting around waiting for some change to

happen, and it is driving me crazy.

It is probably a reaction to Sulfa drugs. It is very common that

people can't take Bactrim because of the Sulfa or sulfonamides(google

it). Maybe a doctor can test you for that.
