Guest guest
Thanks for the responses everyone. Dr. J said to stop the bactrim (which I already had done), and get tested for allergy to it. Problem is, I can't find an allergist who tests for anything other than allergy to penicillan. I am disappointed- adding another abx gave me some hope that maybe we would start seeing some improvement. The bactrim was added for bartonella. I was told today to just stay on the mepron and zithromax. We have been doing that for 4 months now and seen no improvement. We don't see Dr. J for another 4 months. It just feels like we are sitting around waiting for some change to happen, and it is driving me crazy. Guest guest
It is probably a reaction to Sulfa drugs. It is very common that people can't take Bactrim because of the Sulfa or sulfonamides(google it). Maybe a doctor can test you for that.
