This is the type of psoriasis I have. Most of the time, as long as I am getting

treatment for my arthritis, the psoriasis is very light. But as the treatments

start to wear off it comes right back. I too have tried many different types of

things to try to clear it up. The last four years I have been using a

combination of Clobetasol and Dovenex. I use them together three times a day and

try to get at least ten minutes of sunlight on the areas twice a day. When the

psoriasis is active I try to limit any exposure to chemicals such as dish soap

and cleaning supplies. It is hard to treat it, I know. Most people see my hands

and think I have something contagious. And it is very hard to explain it so most

of the time I tell people it is dermatitis or an allergy to chemicals. The one

thing I have found that helps with the cracking and hard skin is a lotion I get

at Bed, Bath and Beyond called Look Ma, New Hands. It is paraffin based and

really leaves my hands and feet smoother looking and feeling a lot longer than

any other lotion I have tried.

Gentle hugs,

Dalene
