Guest guest
Hi Our doctor put my 10yo daughter on high doses of Amoxicillan because she said it's better for the blood brain barrier. After two weeks we noticed a HUGE difference in symptoms of OCD, panic attacks etc... I'm not familiar with brain inflammation. She is also on Biaxin. Guest guest
My LLMD told me doxycycline crosses the blood brain barrier too. I think a number of antibiotics do. As a total aside, we thought my 11 year old had brain issues/damage due to lyme; but after months of various doctors' appointments and tests (MRI, blood, neuropsych testing etc) it turns out he didn't, he had something else. You may have already been down a long difficult road, but just in case the diagnosis is not clear I thought I'd throw that out.
