I had the same issue and I switched to Humira and the magic has returned!

I was on Enbrel for years and it worked so well. Then, all of a sudden it just

stopped and was told that this happens often. Switched to Humira, did fine

since 2007. Two months ago, had a reaction to the Humira and had to be taken

off it . Whole body broke out in psoriasis, which I am still trying to get rid

of! Simponi now, but it does not seem to work as well. Actually none of them

work as well as Enbrel did.

Do not be discouraged that the Enbrel is not working. The doctor will switch

you to another biologic. Good luck.

Max,

I had this same experience except on Humira. Was on it for almost a year and

then suddenly it stopped working. I was devastated. My rheumy had me go on

prednisone for 2 months to stop the huge flair. He switched me to Enbrel and I

have actually had better results with that. Been on it for almost 2 years now.

Hope another biologic works well for you.

Max,

I have been on Enbrel for 7 years and don't know how I would make it without it.

At one point my rheumy had me try Humira, and then Simponi - neither worked. I

am on 50 mg injections twice a week and 20 mg of Arava daily. I have P and PA

and have had no flairs. Hope you find something that will work for you. There

are lots of biologics out there now days.
