I had a total knee replacement last Weds. My leg is so swollen it has turned

black, as well as the inside of my foot. Cannot bend my foot or leg at all.

Called my doctor and he said not to worry and the swelling would last another

three weeks. Cannot help but be concerned, as this is just not swelling but,

SWELLING!!!!!!!!!!! On coumadin, so not concerned about a blood clot, but it

also looks like my skin has split some on my upper inside thigh.

Anyhow folks, has anyone on the list had knee replacement and could you tell

me about the swelling and it it was anything like this? No one ever said it

would be like this, so that is why I am questioning my doctor's lack of concern.

Would appreciate any detailed info. Thank you.
