Guest guest
Wow! I will really watch any stomach probs that I might have with Celebrex. I think that was why my rheumy prescribed Zegerid, (I see the ruins of an ancient Sumerian city every time I say that), which is supposed to be a stomach protector. It is basically a pepto bismol/bicarb of soda combination, and I think it is new on the market. Finding the right anti-inflammatory for me has been really hard. Once I was prescribed Etodolac. I kept picturing a charming village on a lake in the province of Quebec. It isn't often that medication names stimulate my imagination. norell

Maybe it will help me remember the names of new ones! :-) I suspect you're right about it being a stomach protector. Good luck with the Celebrex. Lucia > > Wow! Guest guest
Hi Norell, Celebrex was the first med I was put on and after only five days of taking it I had a day in hospital with very severe stomach pain. I had not taken any " stomach protectors " with it as that hadn't been suggested. Another friend of mine reacted to it as well . In her case it affected her breathing. Certainly seems everyone's body is different; trouble is you don't know how you will react until you start taking it. Best wishes, Annette [ ] Celebrex reactions > Wow!
