Guest guest
My doctor just switched me from Enbrel to Humira. Does anyone know if there is a program for Humira like Enbrel had to help pay for the injections? I was only paying $50 a month for my Enbrel. I have some insurance but it has a cap on it, they will only pay a certain amount per prescription. I was allergic to the Enbrel. Took first shot of Humira and did pretty well with it. Stung like heck, but I am not sick. Would like to stay on Humira but not sure we can afford it if there isn't any help with the price tag. Thanks, Cristina Indiana
Guest guest
Cristina - I hope you will do well on Humira. I have! I have been taking it about 18 months. I've been on weekly injections for just at one year. They started me at every 2 weeks, but increased to 3 times a month, and then weekly when the lower doses were not doing as much good as they should have. I just got through my daughter's wedding with only a mild flare, which I think is fantastic considering we also went through a hurricane at the first of Sept. A couple of years ago I was worried that I would never do this well or feel even close to normal again.! Check out http://www.humirapro.com/support_prog/ for info on services to help you with Humira. Or call, 1-800-4HUMIRA. They have lots of good services. I have had co-pay assistance twice, plus they have sent me new ice packs for my travel pack, a set of bands for doing stretching exercises, a book with tips for coping with arthritis - plus they are available by phone to answer any questions you have about doing the injections, traveling with your meds, or side-effects. best regards, sherry z
Guest guest
There is a prescription assistance program for Humira. I have no insurance and it would cost me $1500 a month if I had to pay for it out of my own pocket. Humira approved my assistance request and they are giving it to me for free for a year. It is a god send. If I get the prescription bumped up to once a week it would have been $3000 a month! OUCH!! Check with your Doc. They should have the paperwork for it. If not call 1-877-717-7693. That is their program refill line and they should be able to help you there. Good luck!!! " tweetygodess " <tweetygodess@...>
