Thank you for all your great info on back rib pain. I will check with my doc

regarding pleurisy.

What I am using is Low dose naltrexone (LDN), which is used off label for many

things. There is a group for LDN users, and they have a society, and many

doctors around the world prescribe it for MS mostly, Crohn's, autoimmune

disease, Aids and cancer. Because it is low cost. (compounding myself only $130

for a 9 month supply) and generic, the drug companies will not fund clinical

trials.

My dose is 3.0 mg per day, usual is 4.5 , but I am small, so I started with

less, just to see.

It works by blocking endorphins for a few hours in the night, so generally you

take it at bedtime. The first few days I had some sleepless nights, and now I

am trying melatonin, a supplement, and this definitely helps, although

apparently this side effect usually settles down for most in a week or so. I am

feeling dramatically better after only 5 days, the same as if I was on Celebrex

200mg, but I now stopped the Celebrex.

For now I am off most of my other supplements except the fish oil, and with the

holidays even my diet is out the window and I have gained 3 lbs, but still feel

pretty good on the LDN.

I am watching carefully, and once I feel I want to continue, I will get my doc

involved. There are also doctors available for consult by phone if I want to

pay for it, in the USA.
