Florastor vs other probiotics

My 4 and 6 year olds currently take half teaspoon of HLC High Potency

Powder with half a capsule of Saccharomyces Boulaardi (5 billion per

capsule) and half a transfer factor capsule mixed in with it. Problem

is kids hate the taste (the HLC sugary part is not bad, but the other

two capsules mixed in make it all pretty yucky). I tried Florastor

Kids packets, which they liked. But it say that each has: " Lyophilized

Saccharomyces boulardii from Biocodex.......250 mg. " What I can't

figure out is how many billion are in Florastor. I don't want to

switch if they will not be getting enough probiotics.

Also, if anyone has other suggestions of probiotics for kids who don't

swallow pills, but don't taste too awful, please let me know.

Hey Beth,

I use Primal Defense Kids from Garden of Life. It doesn't have a taste. I

mix it in strawberry kefir for my 10yo. It has probiotics and the

sacchromyces boulardi. I know this works because if my daughter misses

several doses she will start to have tummy trouble. As long as she takes it

she's fine. She was just put on a high dose of Amoxicillan which can cause

diarrhea ... so far so good - I increased her dose to twice a day though and

I think that's really helping.
