Guest guest
Did you know you had Lyme prior to giving birth? no, had it since 1990 not diagnosed correctly till 2005, had my kids in 2000 and 1997 How many children do you have total? 2 How many with Lyme disease? 2 Did you nurse? yes, 6 months, 8 months How long? Is their Western Blot similar to you? not sure, my eldest is so positive its as if she was vaccinated for Lyme Are the coinfections similar? I have babesia and bartonella, neither tested positive for either, my eldest had mycoplasma fermentens which I tested negative for Anything intesting you've learned about congenital Lyme you could share? it seems congenital lyme symptoms aren't as pronounced as those children who have been bit by a tick. Their symptoms are more 'sneaky' in that they are ill with many different things when they are infants but not until you figure out it is Lyme do you understand they are all connected. My girls were diagnosed when they were 8 and 5, treated by Dr. for 3 years on antibiotics, and have been off meds for over a year. They both seem to be doing OK but as all of you know every ache and pain and strange symptom that arises makes a mother worry! We are very hopeful and keep the faith that we beat it!
