Guest guest
I've been on MTX plus Arava for >1.5 years now. All was OK with blood tests, until my ALT started increasing slowly. When ALT rose to about 1 1/2 times the upper normal value, we decreased MTX and increased Arava to 20 mg. Unfortunately ALT then rose to >2 times upper normal value. Now I am on 10 mg Arava and still low MTX, ALT back to 1 1/2 times. Now feeling effects of low MTX. Has anyone else had Liver problems like this? Also the latest FDA statements are that if ALT becomes >2 times upper normal, you should stop it (whereas previously they said if it went between 2-3 times you should lower Arava to 10 mg). Thanks for your thoughts max
