Guest guest
I too have peripheral neuropathy, tho mine was caused by statins, not Humira or Enbrel. Was on a statin for 6 months and neuropathy started. Was removed from the statin and told to never take one again " and neuropathy might get better " . It is about 50% less but that is where it stopped going away and it fluctuates. Some days are not bad other days shoes are torture devices that I can barely stand to have on. Becca, a question for you. Would you please give me more info on your " strange twitching issues " and why your Dr. feels it was the Humira? I was on Enbrel for 1 1/2 years and it stopped working. I've been on Humira for 4 years and it has been a godsend. This past Jan. I started with strange twitches and shakes. They never go away although sometimes I only notice them when I stop and relax. They have also been so strong as to literally knock me off my feet. It is truly a scary feeling to lose control of your body like that. I have 3 Drs. (PCP, Rheumy & Neuro) scratching their heads and wondering what to do with me. Both the Rheumy and the Neuro ruled out the Humira as a cause, both independently and after a consult with each other. I see the Neuro on Wed. and the Rheumy next week and any additional info I could come up with would be great. Thanks, Job
