Guest guest
Deb, My recent experience with the symptoms you describe convince me that the itching is caused by extreme dryness that was relieved with baby oil on Q-tip. DO NOT try to scratch with the swab! Just soak it generously and let the oil coat the ear canal. It's tempting but rubbing will only aggravate the condition. You can try scratching the itch with your tongue from the inside. hahaha Believe me, it helps while you wait for the oil to relieve that awful dryness. My ears had stopped producing the waxy lubricant and they felt 'feverish', much like P does elsewhere. With P in the ear canal, there's a difference in that the skin peels or builds up a crust. The oil can relieve the crustiness but surely there are better remedies than what was available in 1960 when it happened to me. <very big grin> Patty on a balmy evening in the Pineywoods of East Texas
