Guest guest
I have just recently been diagnosed with PA. Today will be my 3rd week of taking methotrexate. I have felt so bad for about 2 years and was really pleased to finally find out what was wrong with me. After talking with my doctor I felt quite optimistic....until I joined this group and now read all the issues that some of you are dealing with. Is there anyone out there that actually has PA under control and is living somewhat painfree, well maybe not painfree, but feels somewhat decent. The other question I have....I have so much trouble standing or walking for any length of time. I now shop online for most all of my needs, as I am just unable to go anywhere and stand or walk. I have a chair at my stove and my sink in order to cook, and now am seriously considering purchasing a shower stool. Standing or walking just kills my lower back, and my legs become very weak and shaking......is this happening to anyone else. And another thing...when you tell other folks that you have PA....they just look at you like you're crazy and you know they are thinking that this is no big deal because lot's of people have arthritis and arthritis is just a few aches and pains. How do you help people understand this, as this is just not a few aches and pains.....it is much more complicated than that.
