Need UHC insurance feedback ASAP

We are losing our group health insurance in the very near future, and are

seriously considering UHC/Golden Rule for a new policy because they have a

Guaranteed Issue / HIPAA compliant plan that cannot turn you down due to

pre-existing conditions. Well, my family has so many due to Lyme, we all 3 are

uninsurable unless we get one of the high deductible, guaranteed acceptance

policies (which are very expensive, but UHC's seems to be the cheapest).

I am wondering if anyone (specifically with individual, guaranteed issue / HIPAA

compliant UHC insurance would be most applicable) has had any problems getting

their oral antibiotics filled over and over again on a long-term basis? How

about any trouble with IV treatment coverage?

We live in TN, but UHC has a nationwide provider network, so thought you guys

would have some good feedback - whether you have had any UHC policy, individual

or group.

Any internal medical policies and/or limitation on the treatment of Lyme that

anyone has become aware of? i.e. like a max of 28-30 days worth of abx, oral

or IV, and then you're cut off " because you are cured " type situation...?

Any feedback on your experiences, good or bad, would be MOST APPRECIATED!

And/or any other suggestions for a good Guaranteed Issue/Acceptance insuranc

company would also be great.

If you prefer to email me privately about this, you can at

sncsherrod@...

Thank you!

Christa
