Guest guest
I have had no adverse reaction to the MXT other that maybe it making me a bit sleep on the days I take it. I take it in a split dose 1/2 late afternoon and 1/2 before bedtime.
Guest guest
Patty - MTX can cause mouth sore due to folic acid deficiency. How much folic acid are you taking? Have you reported this to your rheumy? regards, sherry z
Guest guest
Hi Sherry, Yes, I've experienced those " sores " which were more like ulcers to me. My rheumy prescribed a Kenalog-like dental paste which helped. I haven't told her about the peeling though. Are they related? I'm taking 1 mg folic acid twice a day. She was adamant about NOT increasing it when my PCP asked her about it for me. <shrug? Thanks, Patty in a wintery Pineywoods of East Texas where we saw snowflakes falling on blooming red bud and peach trees today!!!
