I have had no adverse reaction to the MXT other that maybe it making me a bit

sleep on the days I take it. I take it in a split dose 1/2 late afternoon and

1/2 before bedtime.

Patty - MTX can cause mouth sore due to folic acid deficiency. How

much folic acid are you taking? Have you reported this to your

rheumy?

Hi Sherry,

Yes, I've experienced those " sores " which were more like ulcers to me.

My rheumy prescribed a Kenalog-like dental paste which helped. I

haven't told her about the peeling though. Are they related?

I'm taking 1 mg folic acid twice a day. She was adamant about NOT

increasing it when my PCP asked her about it for me. <shrug?
