Bicillan, Rocephin injections?

Does anyone have an experience with Bicillan and/or Rocephin injections? Most

likely my son (12) will do IV this summer but an adult friend mentioned that she

did the injections before going to IV. It sounds somewhat painful so I'm just

wondering if they normally have kids do the injections.
