Guest guest
I had to abruptly stop my mtx and my Humira because I have to use the county medical clinics for my care (no insurance) and couldn't get my refills until my next appt. My arthritis flared up, but not as bad as before I took the meds, and when I restarted, I had a brief period of more severe mtx side effects, but I take 20mg/wk. This was just my personal experience and YMMV. Dena
Guest guest
Catlover: I can't say I completely understand why you want to do this, however, I would certainly be ABSOLUTELY sure that it is worth the possible outcomes. I know the procedure has been done on countless women and there are little or few side effects. But, you are a in a different class. While your procedure will likely be successful and have no side effects specifically related to it, what about the effects of stopping your meds? Some people have reported that they need to increase their dosage or change their drug protocol after stopping their meds. Also, what is the liklihood that this procedure will not cause you to have a flare? Have you had a tattoo while you were taking meds? Did you flare? I'm a guy, so I'm biased , but I'd say leave well enough alone and don't risk that your drug protocol may not work when you restart. And I strongly wonder that this might cause a flare just in having it done. Good luck if you do it. Stay Well,
