Guest guest
I am taking Methotrexate (12.50 MG) and Simponi and am planning on getting permanent make up. For all you guys out there, permanent makeup is eyeliner that is tattooed on permanently. My Rheumy said to be off of the Simponi for 4 weeks before and after and Methotrexate the week before and the week after. She said that is the same protocol you would follow if you were to have surgery. I am sure many of you out there have had surgery and have had to do this. I was wondering how that affected you PsA? Did you flare up or have a lot of symptoms or problems and when you resumed taking the medications. Did they work and did it take awhile to have them start working? I would appreciate anyone's input about this because I haven't decided for sure I want to do this especially if my arthritis gets worse. Guest guest
I have had permanent eyebrows and eyeliner done twice. It does have to be touched up after several years. I never went off any of my Enbrel or the last time, I was on Humira. You should go off any drugs that would cause your blood to thin, but other than that, I had zero issues. Think maybe your doctor does not understand how the permanent make-up works. It is NOT a tattoo. My 85 year old mother had her eyebrows done, as she had none and I lost mine due to thyroid disease. Go for it. You will be very pleased. in Poulsbo lbschroeder@...
