Dear Max,

I¹ve been lucky and havne't developed athletics' feet, but I have found that

the same powder used to treat it helps me with other rashes that pop out

from time to time. I seem to be allergic to the elastic touching my skin

anywhere and sometimes anytime I have skin touching skin I¹ll get a bad

break out that looks like cuts and it will even bleed from time to time. I

saw a dermatologist who told me it was a fungus infection, which is very

common when our immune system is weakened, and I also happen to live in

Florida. I do keep my air conditioner running constantly and keep it about

68 degrees due to another problem I have with my skin burning called

erythromelagia. It¹s another auto immune disorder that goes with rheumatoid

arthritis or any type of inflammatory arthritis. There are other causes for

it as well, but I didn¹t mean to get into that.

Anyway, I¹ve found that Destin Powder in a bright yellow plastic bottle

works the best. I¹ve tried everything from expensive creams from my doctor

and Neosporin, to all types of sprays and other powders. Destin is the only

one that works for me and it seems to dry it up every time. I¹ve gotten to

the point where I use the powder every day just as a preventive now and it

does the trick most of the time. I know it sounds crazy, but you could try

it before you go to the dermatologist and see if you get any relief. I¹m

sure the dermatologist has something stronger that works better, but if you

want to avoid the doctor, and who doesn¹t these days, give it a try.

I hope it helps because I know when it gets bad it is just miserable. The

pain and the itching is enough to drive you crazy. Good luck, Fran in

Florida
