Guest guest
Yes, I am 42 and was diagnosed 1 yr ago with Lyme and Babesia. I was bit by a tick in the 1 or 2nd grade and have had a lump at the bite sight all my life. Since beginning treatment, the lump is gone but still " flares up " periodically. I have also begun treatment for Bartonella as some symptoms just weren't going away. Both of my children also have Lyme (we believe I transmitted it to them), although my 15 yr old recently stopped treatment, is only on herbs, and is doing well. My younger son is having more problems with Bartonella (more psyc issues now) so his treatment will be longer as I think the critters are entrenched in his brain. Good luck and I'm so happy you are now on the right path for your child. This site will be a great help for you. I can tell you that treatment takes time and everyone is affected differently. I hope you begin seeing some improvement soon. Elaine ________________________________
Guest guest
yes -- all four in our family have that combo. My older daughter started treatment in August and only this month is feeling good enough to go to school several days per week. It's a long haul. Don't give up. My 17 year old was diagnosed about 2 months ago after being ill for over a year (rashes, headaches, fatigue, insomnia, etc.) We've been on antibiotics for 2 months...... ..no sign of improvement yet. Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement! My son's been homebound from school for over a year! He tried to go in the fall, but he was overwhelmed with the fatigue and muscle aches. We are hoping he will be ok for his senior year................. Best to all of you as well, Robin [ ] subcategories of Lyme Date: Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 8:37 AM Anyone have Babesiosis and Borelia burgdorfori? Guest guest
Aviva, My son is taking: Resveratrol from Pure Encapsulations (I can get you the contact info if you need). Coptis from Zhang Herbal Extracts through Hepa Pro.com. HH-2 Capsule from Zhang Herbal Extracts through Hepa Pro.com. These are a mix of chinese goldthread rhizome, houttuynia (this can also be taken in liquid form), Vit C, resveratrol, and grape extract. I don't know why these are chosen. My other son and I are taking other herbal supplements as well, per doctor's orders. ALSO, don't forget probiotics. take care, Elaine ________________________________ From: Aviva Gerson <avivag@...> Sent: Wed, March 10, 2010 6:38:11 PM Subject: Re: [ ] subcategories of Lyme Elaine, What herbs is your 15 year old taking? Guest guest
Elaine, I was asking about the herbs because I just started my daughter(11) on an herbal protocol (Buhner) last week through an herbalist and her LLMD wants her to start Tindamax (I've filled the prescription, but I'm going to wait a couple more days to start). She's also taking resveratrol (Polygonum-japanese knotweed), but from Source Naturals. She's taking a few other herbs, but yes she's been on a good probiotic and vit C too. I'm good for now, but I will file the info for possible later use... Thank you!
