Guest guest
I'm a 37 yr old mother of two and have been counting down the days until I see a rheumatologist. A little over two weeks to go, but I've been waiting for 2 months now. I developed a bad case of bronchitis in late Sept. and was put on an antibiotic and a short course of prednisone. Shortly after recovering, I developed geographic tongue, my middle finger has been swollen (like a sausage for 3 months), I have terrible pain in my Achilles tendons, hips, and outer side of my foot, along with small round psoriasis spots on my arms, legs, and trunk. My family doc. is at a loss and has me on Diclofenac Sodium 50mg 2x daily. It only helps with the swelling slightly. She prescribed Tylenol 3 as needed for pain. I try not to take it very often for fear of elevated liver enzymes. Nighttime is horrible. Alot of pain. My hips and finger/hand pain is merciless. Today, I have a new pain in my wrist. Great! Oh, all tests for lupus/rheumatoid are neg. along with inflammation tests. My vit.D is borderline low. What do I do until I get a correct diagnosis? I need to know there is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel.
