Guest guest
My neighbor signed her daughter up with an online school and the school ended up dropping her because she wasn't keeping up with the work. It was a huge loss of money for them. There are a number of online schools but I would be very careful to find out what they do if your daughter falls behind. Good luck, Tricia ________________________________ From: thumpersmom7 <thumpersmom7@...> Sent: Tue, September 28, 2010 3:26:44 PM Subject: [ ] Online schools for kids with Lymes? Guest guest
There are numerous providers of online classes. Some of it will depend upon where you are located. Federal law mandates a fair and appropriate education for all children. If you daughter is not able to attend school and her dr will write a letter attesting to the fact, then the school will have to provide her with a homebound education, at their expense. If you need help finding out the homebound education laws for your state, let me know what state you are in and I'll search them out for you. My daughter has been on homebound (not online) for the 2nd semester of last school year, and this year she is starting the school year on homebound online classes (this way she can complete her lab based science class and stay on pace for graduation). If you want to email me privately, please feel free. Charlotte iamwhimsy@... http://whimsy.t35.com [ ] Online schools for kids with Lymes? My daughter is getting so far behind in school. Guest guest
Last year my daughter was able to take biology online through her high school because her attendance didn't allow her to keep up with the classroom. It worked very well for her and it was no cost to us. She was also supported by a tutor. It's definitely worth working with the school first to see what services they will be able to provide. That's not always easy, but I'll leave getting appropriate support from school as the subject for other posts. On 9/28/2010 6:47 PM, CT wrote: > > There are numerous providers of online classes.
