Guest guest
Hi, I haven't posted much- I'm 35 with severe psoriasis x20 years, and " unmistakable " arthritis symptoms appearing 1 year ago- pain/stiffness in fingers (I say unmistakable as I've had mild problems and figured I had PA, but nothing so classic). About 2-3 months ago, I had a flare where my toes/feet were involved for the first time. I started enbrel (again) about 3 weeks ago, and I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or related- but, Wednesday I started with a flare again- some fingers/wrist pain on/off, but mostly toes/foot problems. The toe pain is on/off (burning), stiffness, and very much a decreased range of motion (I can barely move them at all). I cannot walk properly and this is freaking me out. Sometimes they feel numbed, also. On top of this, I am extremely weak throughout my whole body. I am exhausted just doing the simplest tasks, and just feel " weak " (in small muscles and large muscles- ie typing, using my foot for gas pedal of car, walking). Does this sound like a typical PA flare? Has anyone had a worsening or flare when they started Enbrel? Coincidentally I saw my rheumy Thursday for a scheduled appt- his take was go with Enbrel for 3 months, and if no improvement he will " do further testing " . Would you wait with these symptoms? (I wasn't quite as bad the morning I saw him, nor did I know that it would progress to this point of trouble walking). Would would you do? Help...
