Guest guest
Hi folks, I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and finally decided to introduce myself. I'm , 55 years old and dx. with PsA 8 months ago after years of pain, stiffness and intermittent joint inflammation. MTX, NSAIDs, and also sulfasalazine have given me minimal relief. As I am an RN employed in an ER, I have chosen a more conservative approach to therapy. I love my rheumatologist and he offered me a second opinion to ease my mind and make a decision about biologics. I am fortunate to live in an area with multiple university affiliated medical centers available for care. Well, after my second opinion last week I am ready to " take the plunge " and start Enbrel. Eight months ago I was afraid to start MTX and now I can't wait until my prescription gets processed and I can get my hands on the Enbrel. I am so-o-o ready to feel better. I also have asthma and allergies...who knows, maybe I can throw away all my old meds! ;-)))
