Guest guest
I have had many episodes of P in the ear. And since I am completely deaf in one ear, the scales seriously impair my ability to hear out of the other ear. I get a special topical steroid for it and I have to be careful to keep it in the ear opening, since steroids inside the ear canal can damage your hearing... I also have P in my nose right now. Yuck! And eight of my fingernails are trashed - split, and crumbling - makes it hard to pick things up when you don't have fingernails...But this too shall pass. I'll have fingernails grown out by next September! I'm currently struggling with a major flare of both P and Pa. MTX and Enbrel have helped, but I still hurt. The P is ten percent better, but the plaques are still horrendous. The doctor informed me that if the new meds didn't help we would be looking at disability. I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize it was THAT severe! I'm hoping that since the major source of stress in my life has been removed, I can slowly get past this. I gave myself 'Easy Yoga for Arthritis' DVD (by Peggy Cappy) for the holidays. I've only had it for a week, but I do think that the gentle stretching is helping. The Yoga style breathing/relaxation techniques are great too. CMPete
