Dear Friends,

I had stable disease on Methotrexate for 7 years... then early this

April i

relapsed .. was switched to Arava ... worked partially with relapse in 6

months...

My Rheumy was not very hopeful that Sulfasalzine will work for me and started me

on Humira ..my symptoms were 80 % relieved dramatically in 24 hrs... But in

discussion with my Rheumy i also started Sulfasalazine ...My hope is that in 3-4

months [the time it takes for Sulfa to act] i would like to stop Humira and see

if Sulfa alone works for me.

How effective Sulfasalazine alone is in controlling the disease?

Is my hope of stopping Humira in a few months and to maintain only on Sulfa far

fetched?
