Guest guest
I have a question about this also.  I am suspecting my 13 yr old may have lyme as well.  She has had many tic bites over the years, and stomach issues with severe diarhea. She now has been leaking urine in her pants. She says she can feel it dripping out for no reason. My son never experienced these symptoms with his lyme, but I realize everyone is different. Does any of this sound like it could be part of  lyme, or something else? She also has been diagnosed with ADHD and she is telling me she her concentration is worse than ever. any input? thanks Judy ________________________________ From: " juliafwagner@... It has been our experience that Babesia is significantly correlated to bladder issues/incontinence . When our sons have Babesia flares, we often know it from the " accidents " that occur. We first noticed this connection when we treated with Malarone, and the bladder problems disappeared - this repeated each time we had flares. When you first start the Babesia meds, there is often an increase of the symptoms, and we did see these issues get worse for a few days and then disappear. Lyme also loves the bladder, but it seems the combination of Lyme and Babesia really do a number on the bladder. Hope this helps!
Guest guest
This doe3s sound like Lyme. My younger daughter (now 11.5) had this and still sometimes does -- but she has been diagnosed with Lyme, Bartonella and Erlichia so I don't know which would cause it. Anyway, that is not as bad but still some incontinence. And she was also diagnosed with ADHD at age 8. But even though we think it wascaused by Lyme, her psychiatrist has her wear Daytrana patches and they really help her concenitration. When the Lyme stops screwing up her brain (soon I hope) we will see if she can get rid of the patches but right now they really help her. She can be fidgeting and completely unfocused and half an hour after putting on a patch she can sit down and do all sorts of math and homework with me. So that is something to think about in the interim while she is being treated.
