Guest guest
, I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter is going through this terrible time. Not easy for mom, either. My daughter had many of the same symptoms, but was not diagnosed for another three years after they started. She has Lyme, bart and babs. I'm so glad your daughter has her diagnosis and can be on the path to wellness. It's often a rocky road. When my daughter's pysch symptoms started, she was put on Zoloft, but unfortunately she had a bad reaction to it. She tried three other antidepressants and finally stayed on Prozac for a year and a half. Along the way, she took two Buspar daily for anxiety. They both helped her symptoms. Now, at age 18 and ten months into treatment for the above three infections, she is completely off the Prozac and takes just one Buspar a day. Trust the psychiatrist, but if you feel your daughter is reacting negatively to the meds, ask to change. Most people have to try several different ones before hitting upon the best. My daughter was a bit older when her symptoms started (15). She couldn't wait to get off the Prozac once her Lyme and babesia symptoms abated. Now it's a bad case of bartonella that we're after! You sound like a mom who is on top of things. Keep doing what you're doing. It's often three steps forward and two steps back on this long treatment.
