Guest guest
Hi all -- My daughter just turned thirteen today. She has been in treatment since last August and really seemed to have turned the corner a month ago -- back in school for almost 4 straight weeks, energy, happy ... then about 2 weeks ago she tanked. I chalked it up to estrogen surge with PMS, then to the barometric pressure (lots of rain). A week went by and I expected her to get better. Another week. Her birthday party was on Saturday and she went to see Wicked with a couple of friends -- huge treat. She fell asleep halfway through the second act of the afternoon show. She rested all day yesterday and today, woke up with excruciating pain and bone-tired. She just woke up and is reading in bed. Happy Birthday :0( So my question -- have you had kids who went through much treatment, then got better, then a LOT worse and if so how did you address it and how long was the setback generally speaking? Because my daughter is still a lot better than when she was seen in October (when we switched to a great LLMD from an overly experimental one) but she is in rough shape. Any feedback appreciated.
