curiosity about skin remission before onset of PA

Dear Group,

Has any one experienced skin remission before onset of multiple joint

involvement?I had complete remission of my scalp/ear symptoms about

13 years before my first swollen digit.

I supposed I actually had spine (neck)involvement without knowing I

had PA during the time of my skin involvement...(in my late 20's)but

I only had diagnosis of PA at age 59 with the onset of swelling in

one digit...after diagnosis ,the very early degeneration of my neck

became more clear as to the cause.

I am very curious if someone else has had a similar progression?

I can not take the rheu. meds because of having had histoplasmosis as

a child...as in a history of having TB...it could reactivate this

illness and cause death...so to choose between feeling better and

death..I guess the choice is pretty clear.

Anyway,I am not really looking for sympathy as I will explore all

suggestions given by members to reduce pain..onward!!!

Please tell me your skin/PA history as I want to know if anyone else

has anything similar!!
