Hi There, I bookmarked a website that someone from this great group offered and was looking VERY forward to investigating it when I got a chance. I was upset when I finally got a moment to review it did not see it in my bookmarked list! I am wondering if someone would be kind enough to send it to me again. The problem is, obviously, I don't know the exact name of the site, or even it's full content. I do know that the site was mentioned by a QXCI group member who described the person affiliated with the site as a about a very "wise man". There was a website affiliated with this person that, from my BRIEF, look at it, discussed how our consciousness can effect our environment, including machines, traffic lights, etc. Does anyone know what sight that was? I am doing a research project on the effect of the quality of our consciousness on our environment, and I would REALLY appreciate this link again, and any other sights or research that discusses this provokative subject. Thanks in advance for your time! Bethany GonyeaDirectorDivine Empowerment Community Councilwww.divine-empowerment.org(518) 424-0406
Guest guest
Hi I am wondering if anyone out there with PA has ever had a problem with the brain/eyes called Papilledema. It has to do with the brain producing too much fluid which then causes the optical discs to belly out towards the front of the head from pressure. My 8 y.o. daughter is apparently having this problem. More tests to start asap. But just wondering if anyone has experience with this sort of thing or if is has nothing to do with PA. Thanks for any input. Jen from Penn
Guest guest
Jen, I did a little googling and found that papilledema can be a rare side effect of naproxen. Is your daughter taking that drug? (Don't forget that naproxen is the active ingredient in Aleve.) It can also be a side effect of retinoids - this would be Retinol, Retin-A and related drugs. These drugs are sometimes prescribed for psoriasis, as well as acne. Also a rare side effect of Prednisolone, which is used for juvenile rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. And some other steroids as well. If she's taking any of these, be sure to mention it to the opthalmologist. The opthalmologists are not likely to be very aware of the treatments used for PA. He/she may not think to ask about such drugs. I'm thinking it may not occur to a eye doctor to even imagine that a child might be taking such drugs. Papilledema has also been seen, apparently as part of the disease, in children with rheumatoid arthritis and other forms of inflammatory arthritis, which would include psoriatic arthritis. Sorry to hear that she's having eye problems. Please let us know what you find out and how she does. best regards, sherry z > > Hi I am wondering if anyone out there with PA has ever had a problem > with the brain/eyes called Papilledema. Guest guest
Hi Sherry. Thanks for your input. As far as the meds... she has never taken any of the ones you mentioned. She started off being diagnosed as having Osteomyalitis(spell?) and was given a month course of heavy duty antibiotic. But then another flare up happened before the month was out and that's when we went to the rheumy. She started her on Mobic which after two months did nothing. And then switched to Indocin which took the pain away 100% after being on it for 2 weeks. The swelling went down slowly and is now completely gone. She was weaned off the Indocin. While on that all she could take was Tylonal for additional pain. But now we are onto bigger and worse things like this brain fluid thing. Thanks for taking the time to do some research. So kind of you to help a stranger. This group rocks lol! I'll keep you posted. Thanks!!! Jen from Penn
