Guest guest
Vicky, bless your heart! I am so sorry you are going through this! What about visiting a dermatologist and see if he/she can offer any relief for the psoriasis. Sometimes UV light helps. I know my dermy offered it to me several years ago but I declined because I was breaking out with sun exposure...not healing up. But I know my cousin who has psoriasis really bad moved to Florida expressly for the sunlight...and it has helped her tremendously. Hmmmm. elbow swollen and painful...some people swear by alternately icing and heat packs. I cannot stand ice or cold on my joints but some people say it helps them alot. You might try that on your sore painful elbow. Have you tried methotrexate for your P and PA? That is what I am on and it is really helping me. I pray it continues! I wish I could be more helpful! Hang in there! Guest guest
Can we assume that your condition was not directly related to the Enbrel, since it looks like you will be able to go back on it eventually? Guest guest
Vickey, I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. I hope your Dr will be able to do something for you. Has the GI specialist given you any instructions as to what meds he/she does not want you to take? lou
Guest guest
Vickey, so sorry to hear that you're having a bad time. Don't forget that ice packs and/or heating pads can help a little. Also, get as much sleep as possible. Can you take Tramadol? That helps me a lot when I flare. Also, drinking hot teas of various sorts soothes me. So does soaking in a warm tub of water. If you have a tub with jets (or a friend who will let you use theirs), that can be soothing as well. hope you feel better soon, sherry z
Guest guest
Hi Vickey, You certainly are in a tough spot. I don't know of anything that might be as good as your Enbrel. I know you probably have tried much, but topical creams & foams might help your P temporarily. Ask your Dermatolgist. And it probably couldn't hurt to try Glucosamine & Condroitin to help your joints, though it may not help either. Sorry not much good news, but best wishes to you. Stay Well,
