Guest guest
Thank you all for your encouragement regarding the injection! I'm still nervous but I'm sure once I'm shown how I'll be fine. It's more convenient than going in every week. This last week I've had a tension headache that I can't get rid of. Tried Motrin and a heat pad nothing seems to work. The first couple days I thought maybe I was coming down with a cold or sinus problem but nothing happened just this headache.
Guest guest
Hello , lately I have been getting headaches from my MTX. I used to get them from Enbrel, but now I take MTX and Humira. Usually for my headaches I take a nap or I take Tylenol. Either way you should contact your rheumy. I am going to be contacting mine this week. Guest guest
Hi - I usually had a headache while I was taking MTX injections. It worked well on my arthritis, but I had low grade to moderate headaches for a few days after dosing. I also had problems with nausea and pretty bad vomiting, so I think I was just VERY sensitive to it. It's a shame, because the injections are pretty much painless, it's cheap, and it worked really well. I think most people find these side effects go away within a few weeks or so of stabilizing your dose. Hopefully this will be the case for you as well. Good luck; Jill
Guest guest
I use Excedrin Tension Headache formula - which is basically Tylenol but with caffeine added. Double blind studies have shown that Tylenol works much better when caffeine is added and I can attest to that. I could take a whole bottle of Tylenol and it wouldn't help a thing. A little over a year ago was in the hospital with an infection (before my PA so had nothing to do with the biologics) that caused a temp of 103 and, of course, an awful headache. They kept giving me Tylenol because that's what hospitals use. Finally, the headache was so bad I got in my purse and took a couple of the Excedrin Tension Headache formula and within one hour, my temp was down and my headache gone. Nothing else helps get rid of my headaches and I've always had them a lot but am getting them more now that I'm on enbrel.
