Guest guest Posted January 6, 2008 Report Share Posted January 6, 2008 Good morning, My name is Ella. I am 42 and I live in Oregon with my 4 year old daughter. I am originally from Texas and have been in Oregon off and on since 2000. We've been here this time for 2 years but we will most likely be moving in 17 months when our current lease is up. I was recently diagnosed with PA. I am currently taking 15mg of Methotrexate weekly, 1mg of Folic Acid daily and 1500mg of Relefen daily. I have it in my right wrist, my back, neck and left knee. After 5 weeks on the MTX, I am not sure that it is doing anything. I will say that the Psoriasis has cleared a little bit but I am still in pain, my hair is thinning and I just discovered mouth sores have started - and oh did I mention the lack of energy???? I guess that you could basically say that I am starting to fall apart. I would laugh if it did not feel like it was true. I am trying so hard to fight this disease and just get it under control. I have a wonderful Rhuemy who I really like and he keeps telling me to not give up - that we will find a combination that works for me. His big concern is to try to get the internal inflammation under control as well as the psoriasis. I am just looking for people who are going through the same things and can relate. I have some good friends but they just can't relate to how tired I am. I think that they sometimes think that I am faking it. Sorry - didn't mean to write a book!
