Thank You that is very sweet of you to say that and it is true God has

helped me all along the way. Without Faith and with such a sudden hearing loss

which occurred over a 3 hour period one morning ten days after my 3rd son was

born. It was a challenge and it has taken me very far and working and helping

many disabled persons over the years . recently just counted them and found out

it is 27 years have had the CI since Jan. 1990. and BTE in Sept. 2000.

I do hope there are more of people like me around . SMILES

Hi Vivian,

I don't have any suggestions just understanding. I was diagnosed last week

with the sackie Virus (hand, foot & mouth disease).

I to have sores in my mouth, on my tongue and my tongue is swollen now I have

some kind of rash above my upper lip on the outside of my mouth. I do not take

methotrexate and just stopped taking humira and etodolac because they were not

working. I am now taking meloxicam for inflammation and am due to start enbrel

once the humira is out of my system. I have gum disease that is going untreated

due to my financial situation and I am not eligible for dental at the va yet. I

have been on the autoimmune disease association website and found that the

coxsackie virus can be an autoimmune disease and can affect the heart, lungs and

brain (sounds like a good time). I ask myself multiple times a day what can I

offer someone else that makes this disease bearable and I still don't have an

answer. Hope you have a good, pain free day.
