Guest guest
What are the risk of a person (me) who takes both methotrexate (15 yrs) and Enbrel (10 yrs), receiving the live shingles vaccination? I am an active participant in my medical care, and I really messed up this week. I work in an office of about fifteen people and recently four of them have had shingles. I know it is not contagious, but I thought it odd and decided I should get the vaccination. Normally, I would have done my research on the subject and known it was a live vaccine. I have always known that I live vaccines are a no-no, and wouldn't have requested it. I know that my GP should have caught this, but he knows how I am and that I come in armed with a great deal of knowledge. It is my fault; I should have known better, or at the very least I should have done my own research, and/or waited until next week when I travel to see my rheumatologist. And besides that, my arm hurts! I hope everyone is having a pain free day. Becky
