Guest guest
I used about 3T of cocoa powder to 2c. of soap base. I wanted a really dark brown. I have since added a warning to the label that it may stain light colored washcloths. It is a very good seller for me. I hate to drop it because of that. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Since everyone is talking about Chocolate and magnesium, I thought I'd add my two cents. Although Chocolate does provide magnesium, there are a lot of better sources for it such as green leafy veggies just for one example. I love chocolate too, but the reason you crave it, usually and especially for women, is because your body needs the magnesium, not the chocolate. But it is wonderful how our body lets us know what it needs. One more point, my LLMD says Lyme/Fibro patients need more magnesium then the usual person, and strongly recommends Mag shots weekly. They hurt because the magnesium burns, but we've all been through worse so we can handle this, I'm sure. I am sure you all knew what I'm saying, but just wanted to make absolutely sure, the last thing we all need is to wreak havoc with our glucose & insulin by eating too much sugar. In addition, most of you know that Dr. B recommends a low carb (including sugars), high protein diet. And I just recently got a magazine (flyer really) from the Vitamin Shoppe with an insert with Dr. Atkins research. This diet isn't as bad as some feel. He did a study showing people on this diet, dropped not only weight, but bad cholesterol & trigcleryides, and several other benefits, but it has proven to be the first diet to actually help the good cholesterol (HDL) go up. It is in peer review right now and should be published soon. My LLMD approved the diet but told me to modify it by adding carbs like legumes, vegetables (except corn), and berries. Just stay away from sugar, potatoes, white flour, rice & pasta for the most part. At first it is very hard, then after a week or so it becomes so easy, because your body starts burning fuel from your own fat and you don't crave the carbs anymore, and you aren't as hungry - in fact I had to remind myself to eat when I'm on the diet. I go on and off depending on yeast problems, this diet really helps conquer the overgrowth of yeast. Sorry this is so long. Hope it helps someone. If anyone wants more information, just let me know. Guest guest
Just posted this as I remember someone talking about addiction to chocolate... Have a great day, everyone. Ling A Chocolate Bar a Day? http://newsletter.mediconsult.com/cgi-bin5/flo?y=hBiE0djzk0cL0B4jSChocolate lovers take heart - new research suggests that stearic acid, the type of saturated fat found in cocoa butter and chocolate, may reduce your risk for heart disease. A study by researchers at Penn State University indicates that this fat lowers blood cholesterol by 14 percent, compared to 10 percent with oleic acid, the type of fat found in olive oil. God Forbid, I become allergic to chocolate! That would be the death of me!!! I live about 15 minutes from the Mall of America, and there is a Godiva Chocolate Store in one of our other malls too. I can only afford to go about 2-3 per YEAR. Because each time costs me in the ballpark of $20 to $30 per visit. So, now that we have talked about them again, I am going to have to HAVE one! LMAO ... um but if you are not feeling well isnt that all the more reason to go? Normally, YES it would be the perfect time. But I don't have the energy to put up with his bullshit! Also I would have to get up and leave by 0700 to be on the road because of RUSH HOUR, and I go to the doctor in Timbuktu compared to where I live. So early morning appointments mean hitting rush hour, which for someone with allergies like mine... is just asking for problems because of the number of vehicles, especially big rigs that travel the same areas as I do! Big Rigs = diesel fumes = Anne getting really sick! "she had a TIA (transient ischemic attack, aka mini strokes.) it is the "marker" or warning sign of a big stroke happening... not a guarantee, but something to keep an eye on." Shit hey, I get TIA's .... How is she doing? How are you doing? She is doing pretty good. No residual signs or symptoms today is my understanding. She was really funny when I talk to her this morning. I am hanging on, just glad that she is doing so well. Oh and really sorry about AIM messanger thingie the other day. I have no idea what it was doing. I have too many of these messenger thingies. LOL .. ah well I'll get the hang of it soon. Don't worry about it. I was curious for a while but figured it was having an attitude problems so I disconnected it all together after a while. I still have it, but I had turned it off, it is still turned off at this time. I think of you each night Anne as some damn flower blooms around here and sets off the palatal myoclonis to extremes. There is always something hey!! Ahhhh!!! I am tired of the whole flowers thing! I wish they would either fry themselves up, and go the heck away or it would turn into the tundra here.... so that all the pollen would be frozen for another year! I am off to find some food... Talk to you again soon! Love Always, Anne *angel kisses* Love Aisha.

Guest guest
Dear Anne and , May I suggest to come on out to Sonora, Calif to live? It sounds like a " mad house " back there. The only traffic jam this neighborhood has is the number of deer crossing the street without looking! :-) When we moved to Sonora 16 yrs ago, the beautiful mountains of Sonora were just starting to grow. 16 yrs ago, Sonora had EXACTLY ONE STOPLIGHT. Now, a busting COUNTY of 50,000, really no larger than when we moved here, just rearranged, but we now have a whopping 8 stoplights in Sonora, and connecting towns of town, Twain Harte (has none)Columbia......in which is Columbia State Historical Park, one of the first places the goldminers came to pan for gold, and they still come, once in awhile someone even finds a pretty good chunk! I lived in So. Calif my years growing up, and I am just so grateful to live in a town that the pace is slow, and people smile and are as friendly as can be. I love it here, hope you all will get a chance to come to see Sonora one day, it's absolutely beautiful. BTW, if you should happen to come, we're 150 miles east of San Francisco, and 14 mi. east of the Yosemite turnoff. It takes posts like these to remind me to count my blessings for the place I live. I must admit my three teenage sons, who are no longer teenagers, couldn't get to the city fast enough. Admittedly, they say there is nothing to do in Sonora, Fishing, camping, swimming, hiking, but then teenagers usually like things just a bit more exciting! :-) When my brother stayed with us this past summer he said he couldn't imagine anyone being sick up here. It happens! Take care all, and come see what you're missing! When I was working as a paramedic, I lived and worked in Rice Lake, WI. We had Main St. that went from one end of town and "dead ended" into the hospital. On Main St. we had maybe 6 stoplights. That was it! No more! And when I first was working there and staying at my aunts house 16 miles away... I would have to leave for Rice Lake by 5 am for my 6 am shift because you could only go about 15-20 mph due to the amount of deer that like to cross from farm field and woods to whatever is on the other side of the road! Smooching yourself, your vehicle, & /or a deer or two on the way to work especially when you work on the vehicles that come to get you after these little adventures just sucks big time! It actually messed me up pretty good emotionally when I had no chance of stopping, and hit a baby deer or two. I wasn't hurt, but I was heart broken that I had killed a baby deer (babies are babies, whether they have 2 legs or 4 legs... babies are too young to deserve death)!! I want to move out into the country again soon! Love Always, Anne
