Guest guest
Well Ann, come on out to Sonora where the living is easy, people are friendly, and you have a built in doctor, the one I used to work for, definitely one great guy. Worked for him for six yrs and he is very compassionate when it comes to pain patients! Thank heavens, I don't know what we pain patients would do without him. BTW, how many on this list have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, or myofascial pain syndrome? Poll time please? Guest guest
What state and city do you live in Melinda? I have a map in the computer room and I like to stick pins in the cities where my friends live. Then when some from different lists start getting around the block from each other, I introduce them, and some pretty interesting friendships have taken place. Last week I was on a new list, and a woman wrote to me out of the clear blue! Came to find out she lives EXACTLY TEN MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE, it's so great! Friends are lifes best gift next to our children......and husbands.......most of the time.:-) Sprague wrote: lol, I think my town has 2 stop lights. hehe. i wouldnt want it any other way, its wonderful.Melinda -----Original Message----- From: srdaley@... <srdaley@...> egroups <egroups> Date: Tuesday, September 19, 2000 5:08 AM Subject: Re: Chocolate I wanted to make sure everyone realized that Sonora in 16 yrs has gone from one stoplight to 7, or is it 8. Guest guest
I do think that the Easter spiritual way of eating will most probably suit the people in the East well, If I remember correctly the people over there are not predominantly O's. No meat is most probably good for them. I, personally have quite enough guilt loaded on my shoulders over the last 20 years about not being able to turn vegetarian (or rather " carbo " tarian)I think there is a much bigger need to understand why people do quite well on protein and even fat. The gospel needs to be spread that we are not all A's AB's or even B's. Hi man I may not be homosexual, but I'd love to be able to come out of the closet and admit to people I am doing splendidly on meat, and meat, and more meat, the O diet and even better if I slant towards Atkins! Guest guest
Dear Marielize We have the freedom to choose how we want to live and what we want to eat and part of being human is to realise that what is right for me as Elize might not be right for the next person and anothers wrong might not be wrong for me. I as Elize prefer not to eat meat and that is OK for me and therefore respect those who do find it OK to eat meat and the beauty of it all is that at the end of the day we are both doing what is best for us as individuals. So there is nothing wrong in eating meat and there is nothing wrong in being vegetarian. Enjoy eating meat for that is what is right for you. wishing you all the best. Guest guest
Hi Marielize, I have come out of the closet and I proudly tell anyone I eat red meat and fats. One of my friends who has just completed a herbal and nutrition course and who knows everything now just shakes her head and says she is very worried about me and my eating habits. Won't listen to what the doctors say or how I feel since eating red meat. We very nearly lost a friendship over me. All my other friends are fine. The books that mistify me about not eating red meat is the channeled books that tell you not to eat meat. I have gone off reading them actually because it makes me wonder who and what is channeling them. My second son who is an A has converted back to eating red meat because he goes to the gym and is quite active and he said he was getting tired from being on the A diet. Everyone is different. Guest guest
oooh *sigh* Becca... i've just barely gotten through the " easter chocolate season " myself... and blew it a number of days... maybe you could 'give' it away to someone very quickly before you think twice?? wendy Chocolate The owner's wife where I work just sent me via mail a TWO POUND slab of chocolate in the shape of a computer and keyboard. That was very kind of her to do (the little computer screen says Thank you for all your help) but I almost cried when I opened the box and saw all that I cannot eat anymore. Will I ever be able to eat chocolate again? I think I really need to know that. DOes anyone know? Becca Send blank message to candidiasis-unsubscribeonelist if you want to UNSUBSCRIBE ! DOes anyone know? Yes, I'm sure you will. My herbalist/kinesiologist told me last wek that my candda is actually dead now, and my tests showed that I'm not sensitive to chocolate any more. For now, I'm sticking with tiny quantities of organic sugar-free chocolate, just occasionally (I've made half a bar las since Thursday), and I guess I'll always have to be careful. If you're really strict and consistent with your diet and antifungals, though, you can beat the candida and get back to a normal way of eating eventually! Hang in there. It gets easier. Guest guest
Well Becca, don't tempt me to come over and help you eat all that chocolate followed by a very big helping of laxatives. LOL! Guest guest
Dr D'Adamo says chocolate is neutral for all blood groups! So go ahead and enjoy. > Can anyone help me with brand names for chocolates that are dairy and > coconut oil free? I live in Missouri. Guest guest
<<I am wondering if unsweetened cocoa or carob is allowed to nonnies ?>> Joyce, Yes, they are allowed - it's how you sweeten them that does us in. Beware of concentrated fruit juices, even those made from compliant fruits, since we O nonnies have to watch our overall sugar intake. Perhaps you can blend some of the fruit juice concentrate with some molasses? If you come up with anything edible, PLEASE post the recipe here. An O nonnie chocoholic, Dianne in L.A. Guest guest
Carob is good.....I found Ghiradelli chocolate to be okay when baking, not a lot of added sugars. Okay for a treat once in a while. I had terrible cravings for carbs last night.....oh it was so bad .....so I ate Ezekial bread with honey/raspberry spread. I think our bodies need some grains (high carbs) every now and then. Conceded - but the western world has an overload of copper - in our water pipes, in our cooking utensils and even copper bracelets that are so popular. The important thing here is that copper is *antagonistic* to zinc - and a vast proportion of the western world has a *deficiency* in zinc. It is the most common nutritional deficiency along with magnesium. We need to increase zinc in our diets as it is vital to good immune function.
